Meet our specialist sugeon, Fiona Harriss.

Fiona Harriss BVSc(hons) DipACVS MRCVS
Fiona graduated with Distinction from University of Bristol Veterinary School in 1999 and went on to the Ontario Veterinary College in Canada then for a years internship in Large Animal Medicine and Surgery. Pursuing further surgical training Fiona completed a three year residency training program in Equine Surgery and Lameness at the University of California at Davis.
Fiona became Board Certified in Equine Surgery from the prestigious American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2004 and after short stints in the UK and Canada went on to be head of equine surgery in Regionhästsjukhuset Strömsholm, one of the largest animal hospitals in Sweden. In 2006 Fiona moved to Ireland to be a surgeon at Fethard Equine Hospital, in Tipperary.
Since September 2010 Fiona has consulted and performed surgery at Borovalley Equine Clinic and since going freelance in July 2011 is coming to Borovalley more often and is hoping to able to spend more time training and eventing her mare this year.

Borovalley Veterinary Clinic

The Borovalley Veterinary Clinic is located in Ireland's beautiful south east. The County Wexford veterinary clinic was established by Justin Browne and Simon Fahey in 2009 to meet the growing need for a more advanced medical and surgical facility in the region. In 2010, the Small Animal clinic was opened to complement the already established Equine Surgery. The practice provides veterinary care for more than 1000 owners, trainers and breeders on an annual basis.
